Alan Patricof, founder of one of the world’s largest private equity firms, Apax Partners, shares insights into his life as an entrepreneur and pioneer venture capitalist.
Mr. Patricof began his journey into venture capital at a time when the industry had no media attention, going door-to-door on Wall Street, asking for opportunities and connections to help him break into the industry.
Leveraging curiosity as the keystone for succeeding in business and the key to an investor-first approach, Mr. Patricof became an early investor in high-growth businesses such as Apple Computer, AOL, Thrive Global, Venmo, and The RealReal.
Core topics covered will include:
- How to seize opportunities and create your own through a multifaceted mindset
- Lesson in entrepreneurship: Adapting practices to fit an ever-changing industry
- The importance of never driving alone: get out, get involved and make connections
- An introduction to Alan’s latest book “No Red Lights”
