This special seminar on Leveraging Military Experience into Business was held to highlight the benefits of pursuing a master’s degree for those looking to make a career transition after they serve. Hosted by GLOBIS USA, the seminar featured two speakers: Ms. Lara Ray and Mr. Ryan Cabanizas, both military officers who successfully transitioned their experiences into the business world after earning their MBAs. Ms. Lara shared her journey from Air Force officer to HR Specialist and consultant, while Mr. Cabanizas discussed his transition to a Data Analytics Office.
While Ms. Lara Ray earned her MBA from The Sorrell College of Business at Troy University in the US, Mr. Canbanizas received his MBA from the Graduate School of Management at GLOBIS University, in Japan. Mr. Canbanizas highlighted how his experience at GLOBIS University in Tokyo helped him discover his Kokorozashi or personal mission, and excel in his role working with civilians in the Air Force Reserves.
